Figure 39. The upper trace shows the output during the notch test when the notch filter is badly tuned. The lower trace
shows the output when the notch filter is correctly tuned. The output when the notch filter is tuned contains many
harmonics. The vertical scaling is the same for both traces. The signal input was internally generated using the Notch
Test command.
Repeat the procedure for channels 2 to 8, adjusting trim potentiometers RP202 to RP802,
respectively.
Turn off the notch Test with a keyboard keystroke. This resets the CyberAmp to the settings that
were in place before the tuning began.
Other Adjustments
The other trim potentiometers inside the CyberAmp have been adjusted at the factory and should not
need to be changed. The potentiometers labeled RP101 to RP801 are used to calibrate the accuracy of
the D/A converters used to generate the DC offset for each channel. The potentiometer labeled RP1 is
used to calibrate the precision 5.000 V reference supply. In the normal life of the instrument, these
potentiometers should not require adjustment.
If the CyberAmp 380 requires repair, the simple adjustment procedures for these potentiometers will
be clear to an electronics professional who consults the circuit diagrams.
