Set the Maximum Message Size for

Messages

The maximum size of a message that Message Archiving can store is 25 MB. Messages

larger than 25 MB are not archived. As a result, it is recommended that you administer

your Exchange Server for a maximum message size of 25 MB. For information on

configuring maximum message size, see the Microsoft Web site (www.microsoft.com).

Prevent Mail from Going Directly to the

Journal Recipient Mailbox

You can prevent mail from being addressed and sent directly to the Journal-Recipient

mailbox by removing the mailbox from the Global Address List. To remove the journal

recipient from the Global Address List:

1In Active Directory Users and Computers, double-click the journal recipient

mailbox, journal in our example.

2 Click the Exchange Advanced tab.

Note: If the Exchange Advanced tab is not available, you must enable it. To enable the

Advanced tab:

A Return to the Active Directory Users and Computers list.

B Right-click on the organization unit in which the journal mailbox resides.

C Click Properties > View > Advanced Features.
