Specifying the Collector Logs

After a database has been generated, it is populated with data from the inventory files. The files

generated by Collector are considered logs that need to be merged into the database for

processing by Analyzer. As the figure below shows, the next step is to locate location the logs

(.cab or .xml files) created by Collector.

Connecting to the Microsoft Compatibility Database

After Analyzer has the data it needs, it provides the option to connect to a Microsoft Compatibility

Database. With this option, you can detect additional compatibility information about applications

in the inventoried files. To have Analyzer check for known compatibility issues, choose the option

to connect to the on-line database as shown below.
